A Saudi group, built in Riyadh since 2003.
Amthal began as a telecom distribution business and grew into a group operating the infrastructure behind prepaid retail in the Kingdom — alongside FMCG distribution and manpower and equipment supply.

Two decades in one market
Amthal was founded in Riyadh in 2003, distributing telecom recharge cards at a time when the Kingdom’s prepaid market was still built on scratch cards and paper ledgers.
As the market digitised, so did we. Physical cards became electronic PINs, PINs became API calls, and counters became terminals. Today Amthal processes more than 900 million riyals a year across a distribution network reaching over 50,000 points of sale, with a platform and hardware stack we build ourselves.
The group has deliberately stayed close to what it knows: distribution, infrastructure and the relationships that make both work. Telecom is the core. FMCG distribution and manpower and equipment supply extend the same operating capability into adjacent markets.

Why merchants stay.
Own the hard parts
Direct operator agreements, in-house hardware, and our own field organisation — not a layer of resale.
Reliability over novelty
The measure of this business is whether the transaction clears. Everything else is secondary.
Long relationships
Partners and merchants who have been with the group for over a decade, because the terms hold.
Build locally
Kiosk manufacturing, engineering and support delivered from within the Kingdom.
Telecom, groceries and heavy equipment.
Telecom infrastructure is the core of the group. Alongside it, Amthal distributes fast-moving consumer goods and supplies manpower and construction equipment to the Kingdom’s largest contractors.
